The foundation of our work is rooted in political education as well as popular education, a community centered, participatory learning, and critical reflection approach that recognizes that both facilitators/educators/teachers and students/participants have wisdom and experience to share which means we all have something to teach and to learn. It's an approach that fosters collaboration, shared learning, focuses on understanding root causes/problems, and is action and solution focused.
Nuestro trabajo se basa en la educación política y popular, un enfoque de aprendizaje participativo y reflexión crítica centrado en la comunidad que reconoce que tanto los facilitadores/educadores/profesores como los estudiantes/participantes tienen sabiduría y experiencia que compartir, lo que significa que todos tenemos algo que enseñar y aprender. Es un enfoque que fomenta la colaboración y el aprendizaje compartido, se centra en comprender las causas y los problemas fundamentales y se centra en la acción y la búsqueda de soluciones.
Healing Justice - Justicia curativa
Healing justice honors ancestral, indigenous, and Black wisdom and seeks to bring collective practices that can impact and transform the consequences of oppression on our collective bodies, spirits, and minds. Healing justice is necessary for our movements to thrive and it allows us to create the world we want to live in in real time. It roots in collective care and healing, community well-being and safety, and liberatory and joyful practices. We are here to support collectives in prioritizing and applying this approach in their work and culture.
La justicia curativa honra la sabiduría ancestral, indígena y Negra, y busca generar prácticas colectivas que puedan impactar y transformar las consecuencias de la opresión en nuestros cuerpos, espíritus y mentes. La justicia curativa es necesaria para el desarrollo de nuestros movimientos sociales y nos permite crear el mundo en el que queremos vivir en tiempo real. Se basa en el cuidado y la sanación colectiva, el bienestar y la seguridad de la comunidad, y prácticas liberadoras y alegres. Estamos aquí para apoyar a los colectivos en la priorización y aplicación de este enfoque en su trabajo y cultura.
